About Me:

Ever since my big brother (he's fifteen years older than me) showed me how to see auras at about age ten and introduced me to Tibetan buddhism, I've been inspired and have wanted to understand the nature of the world and myself.  I want to fully experience the dream or nightmare

I have been practicing and studying buddhism seriously since 1998 in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition and recently in the Tibten Bon tradition.  My heart teacher is Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, my other teacher/guru is Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and, although I never met Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, I consider him to be my teacher too; my crazy wisdom teacher.  This practice and study has given me the view and ground (taming my mind to some degree) to really begin to notice my neurosis, shadows, kleshas, and the nature of this world-dream.

After discovering the Enneagram (I am a five with four wing) and recently taking a course with Russ Hudson this process has accelerated.   I can't deny my patterns.  It is do or die.  Sometimes I feel like throwing up!

I am a proponent of Integral Spiritualiy, loving Ken Wilber and his insights and views.  How lucky we are to have him in our world paving the way, breaking new ground.

Through the Integral Naked site I have discovered Father Thomas Keating and centering prayer.  For me the missing link in Buddhism has been some kind of heart practice, really connecting with love and the space of heart.  I have found the centering prayer deeply penetrating and loving.

I have two wonderful dogs, Jazz and Bliss.  I work at Hospice as the computer tech; I'm self taught. I feel most comfortable with folks who's heart is broken, who have felt their pain and the pain of the world and have given up (or in the process of giving up) trying to run from it.

So in joining Zaadz/Gaia,  I hope to connect, in a loving compassionate way but not idiot compassion, with folks who are having similar experiences.  I am not too good at reaching out, especially when in that dark, depressed place.  But perhaps here, I can find my ilk, kindred spirits and be of service to you and the world by sharing as we walk along the path in its darkness and brightness.

Another way I would like to be of service is with photography.  I love photography; mine (photos) and others (check out T's)!  My daddy gave me a box camera at age four.  I still have some of those pictures.  T has encouraged me to share my pictures and I have been surprised at how much my friends dig them.  My favorite shots are those that evoke both sadness and delight, the bitter sweet; that stop the mind so one gets a taste, a glimpse of empty-luminosity.  I haven't taken that shot yet……..

“No artist is pleased.  There is no satisfaction whatever, at any time.  There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive then the others.”  Martha Graham said that.
